Exchange Program
Each year in late February, Austin Prep welcomes approximately fifteen students from the Colegio Manuel Belgrano School, a Catholic School operated by the Marist Brothers in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The students from Belgrano School journey to Massachusetts to study and learn about North American culture while staying with an Austin Prep host student and his or her family for three weeks. During their stay, the Argentinean students alternate between classes with their host student and day trips to historic sites in the Northeast. After the day’s activities, students return to their host’s home, where they are integrated into the daily life of the family.
In return, the Argentinean students play host to their Austin Prep peers the following June. Austin students are welcomed into their host family’s homes, attend classes at the Belgrano School and participate in cultural activities throughout their stay, including a visit to the provincial capital and a local ranch.
