Frank McCarthy was a beloved faculty member at Austin Prep. He was instrumental in the implementation of process writing and peer editing in Austin’s curriculum. The Writing Center, named in his memory, allows students to share, discuss and critique each other’s work on any type of written assignment with ease. Twenty-four computer workstations face a SmartBoard at the front of the room, where students present their work for discussion and make changes onscreen.
