The Friends of Austin is a group of current and past parents committed to the betterment of Austin Prep and its students. The Friends act as a resource for prospective and new families, providing parent-to-parent guidance at Open Houses and New Families events each fall. In addition, the Friends of Austin provide hospitality at events throughout the year, including the Awards Assembly in May and the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon in June.

Now in its 34th consecutive year, the Friends present the Austin Prep Craft and Gift Festival each fall. The event, which today raises more than $10,000, has supported both Scholarship Funds and campus beautification. The Friendship Circle, driveway benches, cedar fence and landscaping improvements are all the result of the Friends’ continued commitment to Austin.

The Friends meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the 4th floor conference room of St. Augustine Hall. Parents, new and returning, are welcome and encouraged to attend any meeting. Note: In addition to hosting the Craft Festival, the Friends assist in parent and grandparent programming and schoolwide hospitality. The group also runs a Concessions Stand in the MPF after school Tuesdays-Fridays from 2:00 to 4:30 pm and needs volunteers to help.
