Ten Reconciliation Prayer Services will be held in the Austin Chapel during Lent. We begin with a Prayer Service that includes reading a Gospel and a Psalm, a reflection, an examination of conscience, a musical reflection and the recitation of the Act of Contrition. Following the Service, students are given the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Visiting priests from surrounding parishes and Merrimack College are available to hear the confessions of our students.
These services take place during third period Theology classes. The Theology teachers prepare their students for reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We are most grateful to the Theology Department for continuing its generosity and support of this Campus Ministry initiative.
These Services will take place in the Austin Chapel from 12:45 – 2:15 PM.
All parishes of the Archdiocese of Boston are participating in “The Light is On For You” program. The parishes will remain open on Wednesday evenings during Lent from 6:30 to 8:00 pm to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Archdiocese has set up a website, http://www.thelightisonforyou.org/index.html, with material to help with personal preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
May the Lord bless you with a holy Lenten season!
